M1A Scope Mounts
This concept translates into almost any single thing you buy. Why buy the good soft TP for your butt when you can go get some crate paper and it accomplishes the same thing and is nearly free? Why buy a Rolex when you can go buy a Casio that accomplishes the same thing, can last for years and is 1/100th the cost? It’s just about buying something you want, that’s nice and has excellent quality because you can. This concept is universal. Why try to chase and impress the smokin’ hot chick you have been lusting over, when you can settle for the fat ugly chick who will do it for free? By the way the M110 is an AR10 type that will run you around $10-$12K…I have been contemplating getting one for my SOCOM. Are they worth it? I know the Sage is out there as well as the some others, but I like the VLTOR. I want a shortened LOP. I don’t have monkey arms so a shorter stock would be welcomed. Max Milo5 [Member] 9/6/2009 7:54:25 PM Troy, SAGE, And VLTOR, all offer a shortened length of pull through the use of collapsible stock assemblies. SAGE can also offer side folding capability, the SAGE rear block can be replaced with a side folding block for even more compact storage.

Probably be too big…I have a friend who is roughly that size. Height-wise, it was fine. But it wouldn’t cinch down tight enough. Here’s what he wrote when I asked his size:
I am 6-3 and 180 lbs. As for chest size…..not sure but I’m pretty thin there too. My waist is 34 or 36 and my chest is close to that.
If I had soft armor on I could have fit the vest.
So there you have it.

Well thank you TimW for the honest reply.
I am playing around with the idea of buying a plate carrier now that I know plates are not toooo expensive. I was under the assumption that plates alone were in the $1000 range.
Currently for my gear set up I have x2 TT 5.56 Triple Mag Panel, x2 5.56/.223 Single Mag Pouch, HSGI Blowout Pouch, and a HSGI Mini Modular Radio pouch. Am I going to run into problems fitting all of that onto a plate carrier?

I really did not expect this on a high dollar rugged optic. I even ran to Wallyworld to try to find a battery in case the original had an issue. Doesn’t look like this battery will be easy to find. Needless to say, I’m bummed. Only 3 posts and 0 feedback, I call BS No, really you probably just didn’t turn it up past the first few night vision settings, your battery is installed wrong or needs replacing. RyanH 3/2/2012 9:49:35 AM I thought I had the same thing with an Aimpoint Scope ML3 a few years ago. After dicking around with the battery and turning the brightness up, I got it to work. It hasn’t been turned off since. packinkimber45

Aimpoint Comp ML2
11/16/2002 12:00:38 PM Frisco — Try moving your sight a notch or two closer to the front sight. This will allow you to rotate the rear cover so it flops back and down and it’ll lay flat on the rail and out of your field of view. The front sight will do the same but will have to go down to 5 o’clock or 7 o’clock positions as the front sight is in the way of a flat-fold, but the cover will still be well out of the field of view. The only liability is the Aimpoint logo will be upside down…… — Chuck frisco
Surefire
If you are down for the $150 a surefire would cost, I highly recommend the Battlecomp. It outperforms the surefire in terms of recoil and muzzle rise and is overall quieter and has a smaller flash. Though it is louder to you as a shooter, it is better than surefire for low profile canted shooting positions like the junkyard prone etc if you are into that stuff. I have not shot the AAC and what I have heard is not from a reliable enough source for me to repeat. I’ve used both on similar rifles and perceived just the opposite. The BC1.5 I have on my 14.5″ upper is great on muzzle rise, but does nothing to reduce felt recoil. It is significantly less blasty than other brakes. azoutdoorsman

Soooo I set my weapon on a table and walked about 250 feet away and looked back and if I lined up just right that big old red lens flashed me. Bright as could be. I put the flash guard back in place. And here I thought it was for muzzle flash.
